Shellshock the four-piece band from Watford, UK who fuse metal with drum and bass blastbeats into their own unique, raucous 'E Metal' sound, are set to release their debut studio album, 'Laws Of Rebellion' Shellshock, formed in 2000 by four driven individuals who wanted to strive to create a unique, flawless sound in music by fusing the styles of dark DnB and aggressive, in your face Metal. Their pulsating, energy driven live shows soon saw them ramming local venues to the rafters. More highly successful UK shows followed with the band being offered to support Skindred on a 26 date tour. The fiery live show attracted the attention of the rock press:

"Fusing drum and bass with corrosive industrial metal, their set is a furious assault upon the senses"

Shortly before the release of their debut E.P 'Injected into the Hive' came the tragic death of original guitarist Rafe Chiles in Paris, France. After the initial pain and grief, the band rose to new levels of belief and drive. The recruitment of guitarist Hops added new found energy to the outfit and the band brought out their first release. 'Injected into the Hive' released in 2005 was widely seen as a natural progression from the Slipknot sound of programmed beats and brutal, clinical metal into one of a more programmed dance style of hard hitting dnb. The CD was reviewed in online and offline press:

"If you like your music to push boundaries - and do it with style - this is a must'.

After the release of hugely popular anti-chav video 'Kev' the band started to earn themselves some decent kudos amongst the Metal crowd for a band that had something to say and the stage was set for their debut album….. The band recruited the services of Weller/Hill (ex Guitarist and Vocalist from UK metal act Sikth) to engineer and produce their debut album "Laws of Rebellion". The album was self released 09/07/07 and through Grindhouse recordings in Japan to a fantastic response selling over 2000 copies in 2 weeks!

'Laws of Rebellion' is an infectious collection of edgy, provocative, metal anthems interspersed with a big slab of dark, intelligent, digital beats'

After the promotion through shows up and down the UK the band then went through more troubled waters with the decision of Jon (bass) and Hops (guitar) to leave to pursue other avenues but testament to the bands resilience in the face of a challenge the remaining members vowed to take the band to new heights and find two new members with the drive and determination to push things forward.
Little did they know how challenging it would be to find the right people to fit the bill, so while this was running it's course they decided to put together a remix of the album 'Laws of rebellion' called 'Dimensions of Design'.
The album was released online on 06/06/09 and featured 35 tracks from some of the best up and coming DJ talent from all over the world in a variety of different musical styles.

With the inclusion of Ollie Barron (bass) and Bones (guitar) to the line up plus a spate of amazing live shows, shellshock put themselves back on the map in 2009. They then got their teeth into writing and recording the next studio album. During this process Jim (drums) graciously left the band after a decade of service. So the search for a new drummer began in 2010 and all members conducted a nationwide search online and talked to 222 drummers in total to eventually find Sam Hunter to take over the role. Playing some shows in 2011 to get the new line up broken in, they then went into the studio with Justin Hill to finish the mixing process and complete an album that promises to take their sound to the next level.

It will be ready for release in Spring 2012, so watch this space avidly!...
